- Phyloxera received different names from different researchers - 1863 - Peritymbia vitisana, 1867 - Dactylosphaera vitifoliae, 1868 - Jules Émile Planchon temporarily christened it as Rhizaphis vastatrix, and in 1869 he reverted to the name Dactylosphaera vitifoliae when he discovered that all these American and European forms belong to the same species.
- According to one of the versions, one of the first times in Europe - it appeared in the possession of the Rothschild family - they brought from America grapevines infected with phylloxera to decorate their London garden. But in fact, the first outbreak was discovered in 1863 in a greenhouse (where it was managed to be controlled) in Hammersmith, near London.
-Lagar La Indiana (Moklinejo) Malaga - one of the first foci of phylloxera in Spain and the first in Andalusia (1878). The owner, Eugenio Molina, informed the authorities about this - studies were carried out, a commission was created, and the law "On the fight against phylloxera" was adopted as soon as possible, but no financial assistance was provided.
By 1918, the entire spanish national territory, with the exception of the Canary Islands, was affected.
